By 6D Reporters Simone, Herman, Marcus, Joel, Sara, and Emilya

South Africa is a quite poor country, so the International English School (IES) in Hässelby Strand are going to collect money to build a new school in South Africa.
It's a big investment but in the future some of the kids in IES are going to visit the school in South Africa. Also the kids in South Africa’s new school are going to visit IES here in Sweden!

This is the school in South Africa.

Fabian Lindh in 4A in the IES in Hässelby Strand answered our questions:
What do you think about the school in South Africa?
"I think it's good. Because so poor children in other countries, like South Africa are going to get a good education."
Do you want to visit the school?
"Yes, it would be fun to see how they are and meet children from other countries."
If you get a million kronor, do you donate some money to the school?
"I would donate 500 000 because I don't need them. The school and children needs them more."

South Africa occupies the southern tip of Africa, its long coastline stretching more than 2 500km from the desert border with Namibia on the Atlantic coast, Mozambique on the Indian Ocean.

The school is located where the arrow is pointing.

This is an interview with IES Hässelby Strand Principal Ms. Schäfer.
How much money have you got for the moment?
"We have got 55 000 and all of that money goes to build the school."
Where in South Africa is the school?
"The school is in Kwazulu Natal at the coast. It's a pretty poor area in South Africa."
Does it cost to go in the schools there?
"Yes, it costs much for the people to go in schools there."

Ms Schäfer, IES Hässelby Strand Principal.
