Do You Know Where You Can Be After School?

A playful day in Junior Club.

Junior Club is a place in IES Hässelby where children, from grade 4-5, can be after school. If you have to wait for your parents to come and pick you up, you can wait and play with friends at Junior Club. You can´t come to Junior Club at the holidays, because nothing in school is open then. For each term you have to pay 2900 kr. And it´s open by 14:00-17:00 every day.

In Junior Club you can get food every day. A member there, and a student at IES Hässelby Lucas Viol Bäckström, says that his favorite is the pancakes. He also told us that they can do a lot of things every day.

“For example we can draw, play air hockey, play cards, make big posters, make piñatas, talk with our friends or just do our homework. My favorite thing to do is to play cards”. he said. He also thinks the atmosphere there is fantastically good.

In Junior Club you can speak both Swedish and English. That’s good, because then everyone can understand each other. You can bring all sorts of food, except sweets and candies.

There are about 30 - 35 members in Junior Club. But there are just about twelve people there every day. The major reason why  is that most people goes to Support Lessons about two times a week.

The Junior Club leader at IES Hässelby Ms. Eggen think Junior Club is a good place to be ‘’socialized’’, and she don’t know any negative or bad thing about Junior Club. The other staff on Junior Club Mr. Tell told us that you only can use telephones outside, inside it is not allowed, just like in the rest of school.
